September Scrapbook Challenges

Hello!
It's been a while since I didn't update my scrap blog here. It's been busy days, as I am learning to make more handmade flowers instead of just buying :)). But then, when I got hooked up with the patterns, papers, glue and fabric, I tend to forget anything else.

No more talking. :) This time I want to show you the wonders of how a skecth, can turn out in so many ways. It can inspire in many unexpected ways. In Scrapbook Challenges, we can create a layout based on a sketch. Here's one sketch example #264, from one of DT members, Amanda Pace.
And here's my take:

I inspired to put handwritten journaling exactly at the same spot as the sketch. I made some adjustment, using two photos instead of one, since I have plenty photos in my storage. LOL. Hope can get them out more than leaving them staying in the box. :)

And here's another fabulous sketch #265 from DT member, Natalie Jane, for this challenge

and my reveal:
I was inspired looking at those scattered stars and the fun sketch and chose to use colorful papers and silly faces of our first son. :))

Here's another sketch  #266 from wonderful Chanell Rigterink and here is the link for the challenge.
and here's what I created:
I used some stamps here, as you see for making the tickets, also the journaling on the right.

And for the last skecth of this month, Jowilna Nolte, created this wonderful sketch #267.

and here's mine:

It was so much fun to stitch on the paper. The handmade flowers I put on the LO is made of corn husk. (Actually I'm not sure the name of it, it is the cover of the corn cob -- not the leaves hanging over the stem). Anyone know what it is called? *puzzled*
Thanks to Sis Metta Setiawan who tells me the name of it!! Yay!
I bought them in a local scrapbooking store. I found those quite often since I live in Indonesia, where plenty of tropical vegetations growing. :)) I've tried making of my own and ended up in rotten leaves. Maybe I had not dried the leaves enough before processing. :( Will try again later.
I guess, that's for now.
For next week, Scrapbook Challenges still have one more wonderful sketch to work on. I will post it here when it is up. :))

I know I posted all these wonderful challenges a bit late. Hope can update my blog every week next month.
Thanks for looking!
